Media organisations

While a few independent media organisations are prepared to defend China, by and large the majority of mainstream outlets and some supposedly independent outlets are happy to depict China in a negative light.

The BBC has a long record of supporting western military and colonial projects. It makes no pretence at balance in reporting.

The notion of free speech relies on the independence of some individual or agency being able to present a 'take' on a topic without being censored by authorities or silenced by special interests. Mainstream media pretends to hold this principle dear, while simultaneously copying and pasting from single sources.

Buzzfeed has been on the forefront of anti-China smear.
